In 1998, the founders of Tank started a magazine for the reason all great magazines begin; because the one they wanted to read didn't yet exist. Tank came into being, and continues to thrive, as a home for imagery from the worlds of fashion, architecture, art, photojournalism and design and for words that probe the limits of conventional magazine content. It's gloriously glossy, but also proudly reflective: Tank refuses PR-led content, avoids the celebrity bandwagon and gives over its pages to new ideas and experiments. Many back issues are scarce; much of its acclaimed content has never been seen elsewhere.
This second collection from its pages, covering 2002-2006 four year of striking work, is a permanent record of its capacity to invent and surprise.
